When you next log in to your LCA account on the LCA Portal you will see the following message:

After selecting Next you will come to the following page:

To continue with your log in you will need to complete at least two of the requested authentication methods. The choices are:
- Phone
- Security Questions.
Option 1: Phone
To configure a phone, select the “Set it up now” in blue on the corresponding line and it will take you to the following page:

Here you will need to select the Country where the phone is located, as well as provide a working phone number. In most cases, it should be Australia or New Zealand. We suggest that you use a mobile number that you will have easy access to for a long time.
Once this is completed you will need to select whichever method of verifying the number is better for you: text message or a phone call.
If you select Text Me, a text message will be sent to your phone.
If you select Call Me, a call will come into your phone with a voice stating a verification code.
In both cases the code provided must be entered to complete the setup and verify the number you entered.
Once you have input your verification code, press Verify and the phone setup will be completed.
Option 2: Email
To configure an email address, select the “Set it up now” in blue on the corresponding line and it will take you to the following page:

Here you will need to provide a valid email address. Use an email address you have easy access to.
Important: The email address cannot be your LCA or LCA-associated email address.
Once you have entered your email address press the Email Me button.
An email will be sent to the email you provided. Go to your email account and access this email. The verification code will be inside.
Enter the verification code in the provided area and select the Verify button.
Security questions
To configure the questions, select the “Set it up now” in blue on the corresponding line and it will take you to the following page:

Here you will need to select 5 questions from the dropdown menus and provide answers for them. Some example questions follow.

Each question requires an answer at least 3 characters long. These answers are “case” (upper/lower) and “white space” (spacebar/tab) sensitive, so please be careful when answering.
When a suitable answer is provided, a green tick will appear next to the answer line.

Once all the questions are filled with acceptable answers the “Save Answers” button will become available for use. Using this button will complete the setup of the questions.

Also, answers to the questions must be unique. If they are not, you will see the following error message when attempting to save the questions.

If this occurs please adjust the answers to your questions, or if that is not possible select different questions which will have different answers.
Once at least 2 of the 3 authentication methods are completed you will be able to select the “Finish” button and continue logging in as normal.

Making changes
If you need to adjust your recovery methods you can access the setup page by using the following link:
https://account.activedirectory.windowsazure.com/PasswordReset/Register.aspx or click on the portal button “Password Recovery”.
This link will bring you to the configuration page where you can make your required changes.
Important: Please note that on the bottom right-hand corner of the page is a session expire timer.

If the session is left unattended for 15 minutes the session will end. Please make sure you are aware of this when configuring your recovery methods.
